Cam Steady is a nerdcore rapper and multi-genre recording artist from Los Angeles, California. Known for high energy music that fuses hip-hop, EDM, and heavy metal, his unique style quickly resonated with online audiences. His songs “MEWTWO”, “CHAOS CONTROL”, and “SPIDER-PHONK”, established Steady as a force to be reckoned with in the rising L.A. indie rap scene and lead him to collaborate with major video game brands like Genshin Impact.
Cam Steady found his early success on YouTube with the series “Video Game Rap Battles”, where he pinned two video game characters together in comedic, animated rap battles. On release, “Super Mario vs Sonic the Hedgehog”, “Minecraft vs Terraria”, and “Five Nights at Freddy’s vs Slenderman”, were among the fastest growing songs in the nerdcore battle rap genre. These videos attracted the attention of Nice Peter & Epic Lloyd from Epic Rap Battles of History, who featured Steady as a guest writer in Season 5 of their series.
Since then, Steady has continued to release weekly video game music on YouTube while expanding into live performance. Cam Steady has headlined performances at sold out events like Nerdcore Party Con, MAGFest, Anime Expo, Momocon, and more. Steady’s live concert success lead him to form the Nerdcore tour group “Anime Rap Takeover”, where Cam Steady headlines alongside nerdcore artists like Rustage, NerdOut, GameboyJones, Chi-Chi, and more, to bring the live anime rap music experience to fans all over the world.
Over his 12 year career, Cam Steady has always remained at the forefront of the online music scene, amassing an impressive 530 million streams, across all platforms.
